A Suspender Belt (Also known in the USA as a Garter Belt) is an intimate item of underwear that is found in the lingerie drawer of most women – Although how often they  actually wear one is another debate altogether.

The Belt is made of a strip of material, normally 5cm to 8cm wide which is worn around the woman’s waist. Two or three elastic ‘suspenders’ are clipped to each side of the garment.

The Suspenders are attached to the woman’s Stockings by metal clips that have rubber circles on them which facilitates a locking mechanism. These clips are best attached to Stockings with a plain welt as if Lace Top Stockings or Hold Up Stockings are worn the clip will not work as well.
