If you get a run or a snag in your tights or stockings -  you can stop its progress temporarily with a tiny dab of clear nail varnish or if you haven’t any nail varnish handy – run into the bathroom, wet some soap and dab it on – it will dry hard therefore helping to stop the run or snag getting worse.

If your hold-ups roll or slide down your legs - check that you have the right size.

Also, be very careful not to put body lotion or talcum powder where the silicone strip will be as they won’t hold up properly. You can still wear them but you will need to use a suspender belt!
